In recent years, the construction sector has benefited from numerous technological innovations. These innovations have allowed, among other aspects, to improve the ventilation systems installed in homes. In fact, today it is possible to know the air quality from a smartphone and even easily control the different parts of a ventilation system.
In this article, we address how technology has brought about a true revolution in its transformation and what the latest advances in ventilation and digitization are.
Ventilation Systems in the Face of Digital Transformation
Ventilation systems are vital for any building. Thanks to constant advancement and innovation, we currently have technologies that allow us to control their operation and know the status of the installation. In this sense, one of the most useful and functional tools is augmented reality. In fact, we can use it, for example, to know how to integrate ventilation installations with the other structures of the house. It also helps us better understand the aesthetic impact that the installation will have. At Siber, we use our own augmented reality software, which allows us to visualize the work in three dimensions before carrying it out.
Innovation to Improve Air Quality
As stated by the World Health Organization, poor air quality is behind many non-communicable diseases. Therefore, our goal is to ensure that it is optimal, and one of the main ways to achieve this is by applying available innovations in ventilation installations. In this regard, at Siber, we use key technologies that are explained below.BIM
BIM refers to the set of processes and methods used to collect and manage all information related to a building. To this end, specific software is used, which enables professionals involved in the construction and maintenance process to share their data.Innovative Applications
We also work with specific applications aimed at industry professionals, as well as users of our systems. In this sense, our app EVO has been developed with the aim of allowing our clients to know and manage the air quality in their indoor spaces. Its interface is very intuitive and functional, allowing for easy control of ventilation systems.Additionally, we have a certification app specifically designed for maintenance technicians to know the status of the system. Through it, it is possible to take real-time images and control and certify that it has been installed correctly in the home.
Sustainability and Energy Efficiency Thanks to New Technologies and Innovation
We already know that ventilating different rooms in the home involves a drastic temperature change. Recovering it often means having to turn on the air conditioning or heating again, resulting in significant costs. However, today we have sustainable installations that prevent energy wastage.A good example is our mechanical double-flow ventilation system. This model is specifically designed to promote the energy exchange between the incoming and outgoing air. In this way, the temperature inside the room is maintained.
As we have seen, innovation and the use of new technologies is a reality in the construction sector. Similarly, they have allowed for many improvements in ventilation systems, making them more efficient and sustainable. To learn more about this, we recommend consulting our article on BIM: Digitization in the Construction Sector.
