The requirement to install a mechanical ventilation system arises from the Basic Document HS3 included in the CTE, as this text specifies that every new dwelling or each renovation project must install at least a hybrid ventilation system, which would include mechanical systems when natural mechanisms do not function.

However, installing a mechanical ventilation system offers great benefits in the home, and it is important to know how to choose the most interesting one. Certainly, double flow ventilation is the best possible solution, as it can push air from the outside in addition to automatically extracting stale air from the interior.

Undoubtedly, the main reason we have for opting for mechanical ventilation is health. The air indoors can become contaminated very easily and can be a significant source of illnesses. For example, respiratory complications occur due to exposure to poor indoor air quality.

Cooking smoke, the use of chemical products, humidity, or other problems dirty the air, and it is not enough to air out by opening windows. Therefore, it is crucial for the air to be automatically extracted through a ventilation system.
